HDD Mechanic Standard

HDD Mechanic recovers files from formatted, re-partitioned and inaccessible hard drives. Equipped with smart scan algorithms, the tool analyzes the entire surface of the hard drive looking for characteristic file signatures. This allows HDD Mechanic to recover information from disks with badly damaged, missing or empty file systems.

run from USB or CD/DVD is a must for this type of app!

NO good trying to install this if your OS won't boot!

Please redesign the GUI.

Microsoft has just released the eighth generation of Windows OS, yet HDD Mechanic uses the look of Windows XP which is three generation behind. I don't think establishing a GUI based on a particular OS is a good idea in the first place.

HDD Mechanic Standard

These types of programs NEED to be portable, so you don't inadvertantly over-write files you're trying to recover by running the program!

There are lots of recovery programs, but not as expensive as this; maybe reduce the price somewhat especially for home users.

run from USB or CD/DVD is a must for this type of app!

On Give Away Of The Day, you should provide best(most expensive) licence or else there are many programs to be used.

make program to be run from a external drive because if hdd faulty etc how can run program to restore corrupted disks and files

Give us a greater license than one limited to GOTD that ends 12.2013.

if not already, might you provide an .iso to burn-to-disk, along with your other formats. Thanks!

The price is rubbish if this does as said I will be after a refund from my wipe the hdd programmes...

Please redesign the GUI.

if you look on the publishers website, they tell you to install the program on a seperate flash drive or external hard drive. don't make assumptions unless tou know what you are talking about

Add SD cards : these are used in various types of mobile devices such as phones, cameras, GPS and tablets.

POS. Won't run on my XP system, throw up quick error right at the end of intall, and it's gone. No start menu or desktop icon. Guess you get what you pay for, this was a giveaway oftheday freebie... Glad I didn't pay for it.

see this as a portable app. That way you could recover the data from a computer that was cleaned of malware or a virus attack and the operating system had to be re-installed

In Detail view, changing the viewed items causes Size and Type data to reverse, requiring a manual refresh. A small thing, but annoying.
